The purpose of the Intensive Courses for Higher Education Students (IC4HEDS) project promotional video is to capture activities and the results of the project achieved throughout eighteen months.  From August 2020 until March 2022 the project team put their efforts into creating new intensive learning programmes for higher education students in the Croatian – Hungary cross-border region.

As we have written many times before, the IC4HEDS project addresses the challenges in the higher education system by enhancing the role of higher education institutions and connecting them with the business sector and business support organizations.

The project team is composed of two higher education institutions, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb (FOI) and the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa (UP) and two business support organizations, Technology Innovation Centre Medimurje (TICM) in the role of the lead partner and Business incubator from Nagykanizsa (NKVD).

The main results of the project are two intensive learning courses – the course about digital transformation at FOI and the course about industry 4.0 at UP. In addition to that, more than a dozen workshops have been organized about digital marketing, career development and other topics beneficial to students and their careers. Workshops have been led by successful individuals from the business community. Four study trips to a cross border area have been organized for students, which included visits to numerous institutions relevant to the economic and cultural development of the area. Around fifty students participated in the programmes. The project has been finalized with the study trip of the project staff to the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

The project is co-financed through a second call for proposals of the INTERREG V-A Hungary-Croatia cross-border cooperation Programme  with 180.029,95 EUR of EU contribution.
